DR. DRE IS IN THE STUDIO!

Normally, this would be a “illseed quickie,” but since it is Dr. Dre, we have to talk about it. Anyway, the good doctor – according to my sources - is in the studio with Scott Storch working on his long-awaitedDetox album. Sources have learned that the West Coast based-producer who rarely travels is now in Miami to record with Storch. Dre and Storch’s last collaboration was in 2001.

BACK FOR THE 3rd TIME!

Evander Holyfield considering a Boxing rematch with Mike Tyson

There has been recent rumblings in the Boxing world that Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson could fight for a third time. Now in an exclusive interview with the Guardian's Donald McRae, Holyfield has admitted that Tyson indeed approached him, through an intermediary, to discuss the possibility of a rematch.

"There has been some talk between us," Holyfield stated, adding: "Mike had Jeff Fenech, who's been training him, call me a few months ago."

Holyfield went on to add that if the money was right and if Tyson dedicated himself to the fight, he would probably fight Tyson again.

Holyfield stated: "Jeff says Mike wants to fight me again - but he needs to know if I would agree to it. I said, 'It all depends on what they gonna give us - because I'm gonna catch a lot of flak if I say I'm fighting Mike Tyson again. I've already said I don't want to fight Mike no more'. Jeff says, 'What if Mike gets in proper shape?' I told him that's OK but I can't be part of it if Mike's going to pull out. "

"Jeff said, 'The main thing Mike wants to know is if you would be willing to fight him again?' I said, 'Yeah, if the price is right, I probably would'."

DOPE

Duck Down Records is continuing its expansion and doing so by adding two of the most highly respected talents in Hip-Hop to its roster of artists: THE TEACHA himself, KRS-ONE and DJ Revolution.

KRS ONE AND BUCKSHOT Team Up For New Album:

KRS ONE is a significant figure in the Hip-Hop community and is often credited by critics and other Hip-Hop artists as epitomizing the "essence" of an emcee. It is no surprise then, that KRS-ONE decided it would make the most sense to combine forces with Buckshot, of Black Moon and record a new album on Duck Down Records. Buckshot shares similar philosophies as KRS-ONE, one of which is the notion of the "Stop the Violence Movement," which KRS-ONE is actively involved with.

KRS-ONE turned to Dru Ha and Buckshot (co-owners of Duck Down Records) to bring a certain sound and production to this upcoming project, a request that Duck Down Records Co-President Dru Ha was honored to fulfill “To say we are honored and humbled would be an understatement. Buck and I have known KRS since our early days in the game, back when we were recording at D&D Studios and he directly influenced the name of the label with his song "Duck Down” (sucka Mc's Duck). He was also instrumental in one of Buck's first and biggest records as Da Beatminerz flipped the "How Many MC's" vocal sample from KRS. But with the nostalgic feelings of KRS being one of my favorite MC's growing up to the side, it's KRS's continued relevance of today that's most exciting. KRS has a message in his lyrics, a gladiator performer who reps the culture and posses all the qualities that an MC should embody: Meaningful lyrics, mastery of the flow, intense creativity and a ferocious live show. I know how much respect Buck has for KRS, so I can only imagine how this will elevate his game. It's Old School to those that don't keep up with the current works and movements but to me, I would call it Now School.”

Three tracks have already been recorded and the chemistry between the two artists is very natural. Buckshot described the work as "CONFLOSATION, even when KRS ONE is flowing he's having a conversation with his audience. This collaboration with KRS-ONE is going to be an album full of Hip-Hop conversation, ranging from New World Order, to socially conscious topics such as unemployment, poverty, and politics. At the same time, we will speak to the streets, as that is what I'm known to do. It’s a dream to be able to work with KRS-ONE. Before I even began rapping that is who I checked for. I kept the “Blue Print” album on me at all times. That is all I listened to for an entire summer."

Check for the KRS-ONE & Buckshot’s album later this year on Duck Down Records.

In related news, 9th Wonder & Buckshot's "The Formula" album will be in stores April 15th on Duck Down Records.

DJ Revolution Preps "KING OF THE DECKS" Album:

DJ Revolution has spent 15 years perfecting his craft on the 1200s. Revolution has done just about everything you can think of with records. Spun ’em, scratched ’em, juggled ’em, sampled ’em, collected ’em, produced ’em, sold ’em, distributed ’em, promoted ’em, and so on. Aside, from being the DJ, producer and editor for the world famous "Wake Up Show," based out of LA on Power 106 and Syndicated across the nation, DJ Revolution is a renowned producer with credits on albums by: KRS-ONE, Defari, Dilated Peoples, Planet Asia, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, Crooked I, Slum Village, El Da Sensei and Akrobatik to name just a few. DJ Revolution is also a veteran stage show DJ who has toured with artists such as Rakim and Kanye West.

Now DJ Revolution is readying his new project "KING OF THE DECKS" to be released on Duck Down Records in 2008. The album currently features appearances from:

*KRS ONE
*Sean Price
*Tash
*Crooked I
*Bishop Lamont
*Dilated Peoples
*Alchemist
*Royce 5'9"
*Guilty Simpson
*Q-Bert
*Blaq Poet
*Spinbad
*Defari
*Kidz In The Hall
*Buckshot
*Bumpy Knuckles
*Planet Asia

DJ Revolution's attention to detail and his genuine respect for the craft of Hip-Hop music is what separates him from other DJ's, as quoted by saying: "despite today’s DJ's being 'psuedo-lebrities' and as big and trendy as ever, they are almost completely disconnected from Hip-Hop in the eyes of the general public. Through this record I'll attempt to reconnect the DJ with Hip-Hop, re-introduce the DJ to those who forgot what we really do and re-define what is possible in recorded music for the DJ as an artist."

Expect to see DJ Revolution's "King of The Decks" album in stores fall 2008.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END...

Arrests Made After Child Brings Crack To School
Parents, Uncles Face Child Endangerment Charges
TRENTON (AP) ― Four adults have been arrested after a school principal found 70 grams of crack cocaine on a seven-year-old, police said.

The boy's parents and two uncles were arrested Monday after he brought the drugs to Trenton's Parker Elementary School.

Police said they responded to the school after the boy's 10-year-old sister saw the drugs and reported the incident to the principal's office. Police said she was afraid her brother would get in trouble.

Police said The Division of Youth and Family Services has taken custody of the siblings.

The identities of those arrested, who are between the ages of 19 and 27, have not been released. They've been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and drug offenses.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Shyne Scheduled For Early Prison Release?
written by Brandi Hopper
Tuesday - February 26, 2008

After nearly 7 years, former Bad Boy artist Shyne is expected to be released from prison this year on good behavior.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, the Brooklyn rapper (born Jamal Barrow), who has been incarcerated since 2001, will exit the jail confines a year earlier then his expected 2009 release date. He is currently serving a 10-year jail sentence at Woodbourne Correctional Facility stemming from a 1999 New York club shooting.

The rapper was part of a crew accompanying Sean "Diddy" Combs, his then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, and bodyguard Anthony "Wolf" Jones when Diddy got into a beef with another club goer, Mathew "Scar" Allen. Three people were struck when shots rang out and while Diddy, Shyne and J-Lo were all arrested after leading police on a short chase, the charges only stuck to Shyne. Combs and Lopez were free and clear.

The Puffy protege was convicted after witness Cerise Myers testified that she saw him pull his gun and begin firing. The rapper spoke out to media outlets shortly after his conviction alleging that Diddy had convinced Myers to lie on the stand.

Shyne inked a $3 million dollar deal with Def Jam from behind bars in 2004 and released the album Godfather Buried Alive under the label but album sales were disappointing. No word on whether Shyne plans to return to rapping after his release.

Though slated to be released for good behavior, Shyne hasn't always been the model prisoner. In '05 he was thrown in the hole for two months after getting into an altercation with another inmate.

In related news, Shyne's father Dean Barrow was elected prime minister of Belize earlier this month, the first black person to hold that office, according to USA Today.

THE DONDA WEST LAW!!!

The death of hip hop superstar Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West, might not have been in vain after all.

A California Assemblywoman is seeking to pass a new law that would require patients to have medical clearance from a liscensed doctor before undergoing plastic surgery.

According to the Daily Bulletin, Yolanda Anderson, Donda West's niece, reached out to California State Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter, who introduced the "Donda West Law" on Friday, February 22.

Donda West died at a Los Angeles hospital in November 2007, a day after going under the knife for breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction.

Her autopsy revealed she likely died of a pre-existing heart disease coupled with multiple postoperative factors.

According to Anderson, Kanye is supporting the cause and has offered to help in any way that he can.

“Kanye is ecstatic and very grateful,” said Anderson.

“He said, `You started this. Now run with it and let me know how I can help.”

DR. Romanelli

The Dr. is in...In style that is, and also in the high price range of around 4000$ retail for a one of  a kind piece of wearable art. Darren Romanelli's designs have caught the attention of fashionable celebrities such as "myself", Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Kanye west, Kirsten Dunst, Mos Def,  Naomi watts and so on...

Dr. Romanelli can be purchased at fine retailers such as Browns uk, Collete in Paris, Romanelli shop 181 martel located in Los Angeles and Vancouver's Richard Kidd which will be reopening later this year.

The reason I chose Dr. Romanelli to be my first post is because there's only a few floating around vancouver...Also i see alot of wack brands that dont even deserve to be shelved, people please step your game up! "IT PAYS THE COST TO BE THE BOSS"
